Each meet is named after a legendary African athlete — including Mary Onyali (Nigeria), Samuel Matete (Zambia), Fabrice Zango (Burkina Faso), Eunice Barber (Sierra Leone/France), and Innocent Egbunike (Nigeria/USA).
